Thank you DRK Niederzissen!

Covid-19 rapid test among Red Cross volunteers

We hear a lot of complaints from people about the restrictions during the pandemic. But there is also so much help and good to report. And we have had a really good experience, which is why we are happy to publicly express our thanks to the DRK Niederzissen.

The starting point was, of all things, a death within the family, which also resulted in family assistance for elderly family members. Of course, this immediately raises the question of how family members can protect each other against the Corona virus if, for example, they do not benefit from a rapid test by an old people’s or nursing home, but are in a private circle. So how to get a rapid test within 2 days if all the appointments for rapid tests at the DRK are already fully booked.

The solution: A mobile outreach team came to our company premises and so we were able to offer a test to interested employees as well.

Eveline Lemke at the outpatient test

Mike Robe, vice chairman of the Niederzissen local association, has already tested in two kindergartens before us with his mobile team and is very well prepared. We wait in front of the ambulance for the swab and the result. These tests are not pleasant, but fortunately over quickly.  The waiting time until the result is available passes quickly in conversation with the team from the DRK. We are curious to see how they will cope with the challenges of the free rapid test for all from March.

Today, there is still the fee set by the health department, which we are happy to pay. The quick and uncomplicated support in a tense situation for us was worth so much more. Therefore – many thanks to the DRK Ortsverein Niederzissen e.V.!

And in the end we can be sure that we will not expose our loved ones to any Corona risk for the family help. And one thing is for sure: If the DRK ever needs help, e.g. collecting blood donations, we and our employees will certainly be happy to help.

In any case, we recommend the help of the DRK here in Niederzissen, click here to register.
